About the Artists

 Our names are Ann and Thomas Davis and we are the Artists of Annie’s Baby Nursery. We live in the state of Iowa. Have five grown children and twelve grandchildren. 

We have been reborning dolls for over a five years now. We discover reborns on eBay and we fell in love.  After buying a few on eBay we thought it was a hobby that we both would enjoy. So we purchase some  dolls and mohair and got the art supplies, read all the online tutorial lessons and went to work. Being an Artist all his life my husband knew the procedure of oil paint. But he read all there was to reborning and  we got to work. 

As I am a collector of dolls this way I'll be able to have the ones I want and to help Tom make them. 

As both of us are retired and having been in the craft business for over 37+ years it was easy to slide into the role of reborning dolls. As for me I do the hair styling and dress the babies for the trip to their new Mommies. I do the nails and eyelashes because I have a steadier hand than Tom. We started doing oil paint first but when they came out with Genesis Heat Set Paint we started use it.

We now have babies all over the world with their new Mommies. We take a great deal of pride in our reborns and if we feel it isn't just perfect, we will not sell it. We started out reborning the Elly Knoops dolls and have branched into Lee Middleton, Berenguer and Ashton Drake dolls, and now into doll kits.

 We enjoying doing the Asians dolls the best.  

Tom was featured in the Doll Crafter magazine  September 2007, along with some of the dolls we have done. Although I helped with the dolls it is wonderful to have the honor of having our Reborn Dolls in a  magazine.
